How we became involved...

Goderich YMCA and The Maitland Medical Centre

We are a corporate sponsor of the Goderich YMCA, Goderich Library and the Maitland Medical Centre.   Taking part in physical activities is one way in which everyone can part in a positively charged future.  Our Library gives everyone the opportunity to continue to be engaged in a life of learning.  The Medical Centre moves our community forward in meeting the ever changing health care needs of the residents of Goderich and surrounding communities.

We believe that an active, healthy lifestyle is key to health, success, and happiness.

Right to Play

We donate to the Right to Play organization. Right to Play is an athlete-driven international organization which uses sport and play as a tool for the development of children and youth in many disadvantaged areas around the world.

Right to Play uses sport and play to :

-educate children about the dangers of HIV/AIDS and how to prevent it

-encourage families to be immunized against diseases like measles and polio

-promote peace by bridging the gap between traditional enemies

-reintegrate former child soldiers and refugees into society

-develop children who are happier, better educated, and brimming with confidence

Kids Booster Club

We Support the Kids Booster Club by raising and donating funds. The Huron County Kids Booster Club helps to put kids in the game! By raising funds from within the community, they make sure that children from disadvantaged families get to take part in the activities that matter to them.

Kids Needs A Break. At least one in ten families have an income below the poverty line. There is compelling, documented evidence that demonstrates the positive benefits for these children if they have opportunities to participate in the recreational activities offered in their communities. Activities enrich the lives of children, create memories, and are fundamental to their social and emotional development. Everyone beneits from taking part in team play and learning new skills. The focus is to help children reach their own goals.

The Kids Booster Club was initiated by a concerned group of citizens in 1997. This idea has become a model for other communities as it has been so successful. Every dollar raised by the Kids Booster Club goes directly to benefit the children.

With your support, families who cannot afford registration fees can allow their children to have fun and take part in activities that build confidence, self-esteem, and citizenship. The Kids Booster Club gives children a reason to smile, with a big boost in life that will create lasting impressions and memories!

By encouraging Big Brothers Big Sisters and providing cost-free bowling, we hope to promote a positive view on team play, cooperation, and overall, having fun! We also host Bowl for Kids' Sake in part with the Big Brothers Big Sisters program. This is an annual fund raiser event in which the public and friends of BBBS collect pledges and are then entitled to two free games of bowling, with shoes included! Help Maintain the Marsh...Become a 'Friends of Hullet' Member!

The entire staff of Little Bowl went out to the Hullet Marsh and contributed to our community and our environment. The staff worked together to construct osprey nesting platforms in the marsh; the team was lead by the instruction of the management at Hullet Marsh. Osprey hunt fish in shallow water, such as a marshes, and they can have much higher nesting success if there are nesting platforms conveniently located within the marsh. The Little Bowl staff, along with the others helping out with the cause, had and full and rewarding day in the great outdoors!
